NCC ATC and YAMS Camp Report

The NCC Annual Training Camp /  Yuva Aapda Mitra Scheme Camp held at Vivekananda English Medium High School, Puttur from 5th to 14th May 2026 proved to be a highly enriching and memorable experience for all cadets. The camp emphasized discipline, leadership, teamwork, personality development, and disaster management training, ensuring holistic growth of participants.

Cadets followed a well-structured daily routine comprising early morning drills, roll calls, physical activities, and educational sessions. The YAMS sessions provided valuable knowledge on disaster management, first aid, fire safety, rescue operations, and adventure activities.

Practical training such as monkey crawling, climbing activities, patient lifting techniques, and fire safety demonstrations instilled confidence and courage among cadets. Sessions conducted by the NDRF team and Tumkur Youth Hikers offered real-life exposure to emergency response and survival skills, making the camp both informative and inspiring.

The following cadets from B.Sc. represented Cauvery College at the camp:

• SW Cadets: Cdt. Srivarsha, Cdt. Bhavishya, Cdt. Vismaya, Cdt. Shanika, Cdt. Amulya, Cdt. Keerthi, and Cdt. Sreeshma

• SD Cadets: Cdt. Siddesha J, Cdt. Madhavan and Cdt. Abhilash  K.

This camp not only strengthened cadets’ physical endurance but also enhanced their ability to respond effectively in challenging situations, fostering resilience and leadership qualities.
